I got into rock climbing seven years ago and never really looked back. Climbing, camping, surfing, I’ll take any excuse to be outside.
That same energy shows up in my work. Designing feels a lot like climbing. It starts with a challenge, becomes a process of problem-solving, and eventually leads to a big idea where everything clicks.
That sense of adventure also comes from my background. Growing up with Spanish and Japanese parents in California, I naturally see things from different perspectives, and that shapes how I design.
