The Travel Essentials of a Sonicopian is a publication created in response to the text “Drexciya and the Sonic Third Space” by Nettrice R. Gaskins. Inspired by the themes of world-building and sonic travelling, I conceptualized a world called Sonicopia: where sonic beings live. This publication aims to highlight the travel, freedom, and playfulness found in music.

In response to a UAL brief, I was tasked with creating a project reflecting the theme of comfort. The aim was to encourage people to reflect on what comfort means to them and how it influences their lives. I reimagined everyday familiar objects by altering their functions in unexpected ways. This approach subverts traditional associations with these objects, encouraging people to reconsider their perceptions of comfort and familiarity.

In celebration of the preservation of long-standing techniques and the value embedded in materials made by hand, we headed to the Welsh countryside, where time-honored crafts are still woven into the fabric of daily life. The rolling hills and ancient stone cottages seemed to whisper stories of generations past, each carrying with them a legacy of skill and artistry that has survived the fast pace of modernity.

Graphic design work including a CD sleeve and booklet for the album PSEUDOPTAH. With the theme of sonic travel, this CD sleeve and booklet aims to allow listeners to experience these songs in a new dimension: sonic visuals. To create the visuals I coded the sounds to turn into reactive visuals.
